The Austrian Institute for Family Research (OIF) at the University of Vienna is an independent academic institute that conducts applied research and fundamental studies on the structure and dynamics of families, generations, genders and partnerships. Drawing on interdisciplinary collaboration, the OIF’s main tasks include cooperation with international research institutions, providing advice on family policy, and carrying out extensive information and public relations work.
